This style of portrait photography used to be something that required a darkroom and printing skills – not to mention endless sheets of expensive printing paper and messy chemicals. Not any more - the digital world makes these wonderful portraits possible and they make beautiful gifts for a loved one, or simply a great print to hang on the wall. Apart from your imagination and your creative curiosity, you’ll need your own camera and memory pen.

Sat 25 Mar £50 per person
Camera-less photography? You bet, and not a pixel in sight. A fun and creative day making Solar Prints and darkroom Photograms to create unique and beautiful images like these. Any age welcome, under-18’s half price when accompanied by adult. Additional fee on day of £5.00 per participant to cover materials.

Sat 1 Apr £50 per person
How on earth do you make a useable camera out of a coffee tin or an old shoebox? Come along and find out – it’s a lot of fun. Build your own b&w pinhole camera, and shoot your own landscapes or ghost-like portraits with the long exposures this kind of photography requires.
