Aiming to raise £100,000 for essential building repairs

The Cut has been the home for the arts in Halesworth for the last 20 years. That is two decades of providing the local community with a centre for entertainment, performance, music and film or simply a good space to talk and chat.  In 2019 our trustees are aiming to raise £100,000 to pay for repairs and improvements so we can continue to the provide you with the best possible venue for your arts and conversation in 2020 and beyond.

Every year The Cut is home to:

50+ Films
50+ Theatre performances
25+ Folk / World / Jazz / Rock / Pop / Choral / Electronic Music shows
20+ Illustrated talks
15+ Live streaming events
15+ Classical concerts
12+ Art exhibitions
10+ Science cafés
10+ Pop-up holiday & half-term children’s films

Plus regular classes/workshops for art, drawing, photography & photoshop, ballet & dancing, creative writing, poetry, pilates, yoga, qi gong and performing arts for young people. The Cut is also a regular venue for U3A activities.

With all that life coming and going in and out the building, it’s no wonder we’re starting to show our age! Help use repair, restore and enhance your Arts Centre.
