George studied Fine Art - Painting and Printmaking, at Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 2016. In 2017 George had a solo exhibition at the Cut. The body of work for this exhibition was largely composed of found objects such as; a fridge door, a van tarpaulin, a stapler and kitchen towel. Many of these objects were altered subtly, by the addition of minimal marks, scratched into the surface or dawn with pencil. Since 2018, George has been making stop frame animations which depict the places and people that surround him. This is achieved by creating miniature sets of a familiar environment using materials which are to hand. For the large, these sets are made up from cardboard packages, tin foil, plasticine and other recycled objects. George's film 'Project Ability' has recently been selected to be shown at the Edinburgh Short Film festival 2020.
