FLEET BY ALICE LEE

Tuesday 17th July - Saturday 1st September
Preview Saturday 21st 12-2pm

A fleet (noun) can be any group of vessels, for example ships, planes or cars, that operate as a unit. Fleet (verb) is something that happens swiftly or shifts. Alice Lee will use the space at The Cut to explore the word fleet in an ornithological context, using various formations of her technical drawings of birds. Alice is an artist and curator based in Norwich who was shortlisted in both The Visual Art and EDP People’s Choice categories for the Norfolk Art Awards in 2015.

Workshop Wednesday 15 August, 11am - 3pm:

Create a colourful aviary

A free drop-in workshop coinciding with the exhibition Fleet. Artist Alice Lee will lead a casual and fun session colouring a variety of her bird designs (taken from her colouring book ‘Flock’ made for the Norfolk Wildlife Trust earlier this year). These will then be applied onto a large blank panel with the end result being the creation of an imaginative menagerie. Materials will be provided or you can bring your own. All ages and skill levels welcome.
