The Halesworth Bookshop is presenting a Suffolk Literary Evening in association with Two Rivers and Independent Bookshop Week. Celebrating Suffolk for Suffolk Day with three acclaimed authors, in conversation with Melinda Appleby (Vice Chair of Waveney & Blyth Arts)
Melissa Harris, shortlisted for the Costa Novel of the Year (At Hawthorn Time) will be speaking about her latest book All Among the Barley - an evocation of rural East Anglia in the 1930s.
Juliet Blaxland will talk about The Easternmost House, a stunning memoir exploring how we can preserve delicate ecosystems and livelihoods in the face of rapid enviromental change.
and Richard Hawking's At the Field's Edge is a thoughtful and engaging exploration of Adrian Bell's writing and his 'practical' relevance to contemporary debeates about the English countryside.
