PRINTS AS PROTEST

At the end of the 19th Century, three North Europeans outsiders - Van Gogh, Gauguin and Munch - placed a new emphasis on medium and its power to displace convention with raw connection. Fiona Fitzgerald will discuss this shift from ‘pretty pictures’ in the context of burgeoning possibilities for travel and communication.
