Tuesday 12th June 2018 - 7:30 pm

“The greatest living writer in the English language” – Wall Street Journal

Michael Ondaatje is launching his new novel, Warlight, at The Cut. Partly set in Suffolk's mysterious Saints area, it is, like his Booker Prize-winning novel The English Patient, a haunting story of love, secrets and betrayal with a Second World War setting.

Warlight is narrated by Nathaniel, a 14-year-old in 1945, when our parents went away and left us in the care of two men who may have been criminals. The author will discuss his work with the poet and novelist Blake Morrison, whose latest novel, The Executor, was published in March.

Specail guest Ralph Fiennes will read exerps from Warlight.
