Afternoon Film Presentation
Based on the critically acclaimed, once-only exhibition, Hieronymus Bosch – Visions of a Genius at the Noordbrabants Museum, which brought together practically all his major paintings and drawings from around the world to his home town of Den Bosch, Netherlands. This was a powerful exhibition that saw almost half a million visitors marvelling at Bosch’s quirky creations.
This film asks just who is Hieronymus Bosch? Why are his strange and fantastical paintings so popular? How does he bridge the medieval and Renaissance worlds? Where did his unconventional and timeless visions come from?
