THE GREEN ALPHABET WRITING PRIZE SHORTLIST ANNOUNCEMENT TEAPARTY

In a search for inspirational writing about the environment, FLIPSIDE, the East Anglian Literary and Arts Festival has launched a competition for writers of all ages.

Entries in the categories of under 16 and adults are being judged by the Scots Makar (poet laureate) Jackie Kay, Blake Morrison, Poet and Professor of Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths College London, and Jon Canter, novelist and playwright ( his work is often broadcast  on BBC radio 4).

The judges' shortlists will be presented today at The Cut (prior to the announcement of the winners at FLIPSIDE on Saturday 7 October). Some of those shortlisted will be on hand to read their work and there will be an opportunity for you to add your opinion to those of the judges.

Coffee and cake will be available.
